1. General Terms
By joining the AroundManchester.com™ Mobile Tech Specialists Directory, tech specialists agree to these terms and conditions. AroundManchester.com™ is operated by Tsunagi Limited, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16808727).
2. Eligibility
- Both sole traders and registered businesses may join the directory.
- Mobile tech specialists must be at least 18 years old.
- All repair and technical services must be legal in the United Kingdom.
- Relevant technical qualifications or demonstrable professional experience is preferred.
3. Insurance
- Mandatory: Public liability insurance is required for all listed mobile tech specialists.
- Proof of valid insurance must be provided before listing goes live.
- Insurance must cover device handling, data loss, and any damage that may occur during repair.
- Insured specialists will receive a visible verification badge on their listing.
4. Warranty & Repairs
- All repairs must carry a minimum warranty period, clearly stated on the listing and to the customer.
- Warranty terms must be provided in writing to the customer at the point of service.
- Parts used in repairs must be clearly described as OEM (original equipment manufacturer), third-party, or refurbished.
- Any non-genuine parts must be disclosed to the customer before repair begins.
- Specialists must not void existing manufacturer warranties without clearly informing the customer.
5. Data Handling & Privacy
- Specialists must handle all customer data with the utmost care and confidentiality.
- Customer data must not be accessed, copied, or retained beyond what is strictly necessary for the repair.
- Data recovery services must comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Specialists must inform customers if data may be at risk during the repair process.
- Devices containing personal data must be stored securely while in the specialist’s possession.
6. Parts & Components
- Specialists must clearly state whether parts used are OEM, aftermarket, or refurbished.
- Counterfeit parts must never be used or sold.
- Used or salvaged parts must be disclosed to the customer.
- Pricing for parts must be transparent and not misleading.
7. Listing Information
- All information provided must be accurate and not misleading.
- Repair pricing must be clearly stated or marked as “diagnostic required” or “contact for quote.”
- Turnaround times must be realistic and clearly communicated.
- Device brands and models covered must be accurately listed.
8. Device Unlocking
- Device unlocking services must only be performed on devices legitimately owned by the customer.
- Specialists must not unlock stolen devices or assist in bypassing security measures on devices that are not owned by the customer.
- Proof of ownership may be requested for unlocking services.
9. Content Guidelines
- Profile content must be appropriate for all ages viewing the directory.
- All age friendly details and content.
- No content promoting illegal activities or discrimination.
- AroundManchester.com™ reserves the right to edit or remove inappropriate content prior to publishing.
10. Customer Reviews
- Customer reviews are verified before publishing.
- Fake or misleading reviews are prohibited.
- Reviews that cannot be verified will not be listed.
11. Limitation of Liability
